Hey guys, fat person here. Last year i was 268lbs. I started loosing weight and i'm now 220. But i'm concerned about getting loose skin. I dont have any right now but i don't know if its gonna stay that way. What can i do to prevent it? Is losing weight still worth it if i'm gonna look bad? I'm 18 btw

As long as you take it slow it'll be negligible. In the case you do have loose skin, surgery is always an option and you can get your insurance to cover it if you can find a doctor who will say it's not cosmetic.

Please stop spreading this meme. Losing weight quickly has nothing to do with loose skin. In fact, the younger you are when you lose the weight, the more natural elasticity your skin has. The longer you wait to use it, the worse it gets.

Sup fatty. I'm a FFB myself (285 -> 175 in 14 months, age 29). Dat ketotrain so ez tho. I was lifting heavy throughout and doing IF as well, starting with 16:8 and now one meal a day masterrace. I have some loose skin and stretch marks, but i've seen dudes lose similar amounts of weight with WAY worse results, like horror show flaps hanging off their pecs (sad!). Even in the last couple of months i've noticed my skin is tightening around the belly button where it's obvious. I attribute my good results to the following:

LIFTING HEAVY. Skin, adipose tissue, etc. are made of proteins. Your body is constantly recycling structures into amino acids and back again every day (look it up: "Protein turnover"). Lifting heavy increases net demand for amino and as a former fatty you've got a lot of unnecessary protein (skin). Lifting encourages catabolism of unnecessary tissue.

STAY HIDRAHTED. Don't need to explain this one.

FASTING: total caloric restriction up-regulates among other things growth hormone, autophagy, protein-turnover, etc. When you guy 24-36 hours without food, your body starts cleaning house. One source of amino acids is your loose skin.

SUPPS YO: Vitamin C, biotin, glycine, etc. Don't let yourself be deficient in shit involved in tissue catabolism.
