Just found out that all the barbells in my gym are 35 lbs. End my life please

>he lifts 10 lbs less than what he thought he did
Also, iron forged plates are +/-10℅ off in their weight, steel plates +/-5℅, depending on quality
So you should kill yourself, or not, you know, because you can always keep lifting
I've actually wondered about this. I bench (what I thought was) 205 5x5. But there's another gym I've been to as a guest a couple times, and whenever I go there I've actually failed with (what I thought was) sets of 185. I attributed this to the barbells being thicker, thus weakening my grip. But I'm still skeptical about it making THAT much difference.

Then ask if they are pre Olympic or Olympic barbells.
If they have a scale weight yourself, then weight yourself holding the bar, substract your weight and bam, you know how much it weights.
And yes, it does make a difference when you are in your max, 500g feel like an added ton

I'm going to have to mark and use the same plates everytime to make progress aren't I

>pre Olympic
