/fit/ what is deal with soy milk? This is a serious question. I noticed that by cutting down milk my skin is a lot clearer and generally feel pretty good. It also is linked to prostate cancer apparently. Is substituting it with soy milk a bad idea? I am a guy and read a lot of things saying that it mimics estrogen. I don't want to fuck over with my hormones. Does anyone drink soy milk? Did you see any negative effects?

i couldn't stick with it. It does taste better than regular milk imo, but i can't substitute milk.
Tried almond milk too but can't get used to this.
I just stopped drinking milk and eating cereal. Just taking calcium tabs or drinking calcium +vitamin D fortified oj

Why couldn't you substitute it? Did it just feel off? I also already take vit d3 daily and calcium is the only thing I really value in milk.
I've never liked to drink milk straight, I just used it for cereal, smoothies and recipes that call for it. Switched it up and now I use almond breeze or silk almond-coconut milk.

I think even the vegan have some reservation about soy in general and so I think one should favor almond milk if possible. Perhaps almond / rice / coconut / ordinary milk alternation might also be good.
Don't drink soymilk anon. It gives you titties. Just drink almond or coconut milk or water.

Just too sweet. As for almond milk, it was too much like water.
Its like trying to substitute squats with leg press

Like whey, soy is a complete protein and so subbing shouldn't be an issue. The estrogen thing is a myth. If you don't like the sweetness, get regular/unflavored. I don't care for the vanilla much myself.
I haven't tried almond milk, but from what I can tell, there's nowhere near the amount of protein in it so I've avoided it.
