Your body stores much more of the food you eat before bed versus the food you eat during the day since you're likely to use the food you ate during the day via activity. When you eat before sleeping it mostly stores.

what happens to the calories you eat during the day then? let's say your TDEE is 2500kcals and you have eaten 2000kcals. now eat 500kcals either during the day or before bed. explain what happens to those 500kcals in both cases.
Eat something small and quick before bed like a granola bar (not the cheap shit loaded with sugar). Need to be satiating if you want to truly stay full. Otherwise oatmeal made with water and 1-2 tsp brown sugar is always good.
