Trying to do some new cardio. What's the pros and cons of rowing machine vs running?

For health both are fine but doing one will not make you very good at the other. So don't row a bunch and sign up for a 5k thinking you'll do great.

Oh I understand what you mean. I've been doing long distance running for a while now. I just heard that rowing provides much more strength gains. Heard swimming is God tier cardio but it's pretty damn cold to do that right now.
Why not do both? Do 30 minutes of cardio daily and switch between the two each day. It's what I do with running and cycling.

Tl;dr--it helps your knees out and runners have less arthritis in the knees later in life.

Sounds like a good idea. Once the weather gets better, I'll probs staring switching between swimming and running one week then rowing and cycling the other.

Rowing machine will fuck up your back unless you're flexible and have good form

Put the treadmill slope to about 8-9 and get a fast walking pace for thirty minutes a day.
It's fucking magic I swear.
