If you're trying to lose weight give cardio a go once or twice.
If you have a preferred cardio (running, swimming, cycling etc) that you actually enjoy then do it IF, and only if, it doesn't increase your appetite a lot
I do cardio when I cut because I actually feel less hungry after a run (thirsty af, but no apetite) so it makes not eating easier
If going for a run makes you scoff down 3 dominoes pizzas after then it's better to just monitor calories and skip cardio

Doing cardio isn't going to "make" anyone scarf down anything. Eating is a conscious decision. If you don't do cardio you will be less fit and healthy, period.

still trying to slowly gain weight. guess my question is should i just say fuck it till im actively trying to lose weight?

Only if you care about your heart health.

Healthy sure. Fact is, not doing cardio may make losing wait mentally easier.
>eating is a conscious decision
true, but hunger can often be hard to control. Minimizing hunger makes keeping a steeper calorific deficit easier, which is helpful for faster weightloss but not necessarily health, which, I agree, is improved by cardio
so just do 15-20mins a few times a week for my heart if im trying to gain weight
