On Thursday I did legs, (squats, calf raises, and deadlifts)
Yesterday I did upper body (Chest, Arms)
Today I want to go to the gym again, but my legs are sore as hell still, and I know I'm not supposed to do the same muscles two days in a row.

Not op but after doing 20-30 sets of chest exercises it's not smart to work that same muscle group the next day. It needs to recover

Yup. This. If you don't have a back day you will never make it. And could end up with a nasty shoulder impingement to boot.
