Give me one good reason why I should directly work my legs at the gym?
>I play sport/run/walk so my legs will never be "chicken"
>big legs my your upper body look smaller
>legs require a large proportion of your bodies "resources" to train/heal
>functional strength is a crossfit meme and doesn't mean anything, never gonna need to squat or deadlift an object.
>leg DOMS makes working out nearly impossible.
I could literally go on all day.
Because it's something to be better at

it makes skiing easier

>implying your upper body will ever be at a point where it's absolutely maxed out and you need to start looking for other things to work on.

>only has the fortitude to work on one thing at a time
never gonna make it

i dunno i work them just for fun. i go for aesthetics on upper body and for fun/strength on legs. how else could you for example hold the weight during barbell rows etc? skipping legs entirely would force you to do a shitload of weird acecssories to keep things like core strength etc in check, especially if you are not a bodybuilder
You can put more muscle on your legs, more muscle means more test, more test means easier gains
To get better at most sports and to have two big black assess on your dick at all times

until you can't fit into ski boots properly because of your MASSIVE CALVES

then don't. just know that everyone will laugh at you.
I'm sort of in the same boat.
I played 17 years of futbol (soccer) and have always had big developed legs that never matched my upper torso until I started going to the gym 3 years ago.
The only leg workout I do is squatting once a week for fun. I too, will never have "chicken legs". It already looks like I work them out when I actually hardly do.

Your body produces more test when you're hitting every major muscle group.
