guys, I am a /fit/ noob but I hope someone will help me. I am 175cm (5ft9) tall (yeah, manlet) and I'm 19 years old. Over one year ago, I played in a football (soccer) team and had several training sessions and games a week, I was pretty alright, weighed around 70 kg. After one year of no sport (left the football team) and being a neet staying home all day and eating like shit, I weighed 85 kg (187 lb). Yes, I put on 15 kg (33 lb) in a year, I even have stretch marks on my waist. I have recently started running, but I haven't been constant enough, and after losing 5 kg I gained weight again and now I'm at 83 kg (182 lb). My question is about lifting. Besides running, if I did stuff like push ups and I lifted, it would help get my phisique back, right? I own a pair of 5 kg dumbells (11 lb), is this enough to help me? I don't aim to turn into picrelated, I just want to be athletic again.

Push ups and dumbells wont hurt, wont be a game changer either.
15kg is a lot of weight to put on, you got a good few months to get that off but you can do that by the end of the year easily. After that work on building muscle.
Try and get back into playing soccor, will help your motivation.
