Hey bros
I'm 5'6, 133lb, 20 years old and working out seriously for about 4 and a half months now (on and off before but never serious).
My 1RM:
Bench Press: 140lb
Dead lift: 200lb
OHP: 95lb
Squat: 170lb (I've been a bitch about squats)
I want to move to a bro split basically: chest/tris, back/bis, rest, shoulder, legs, rest, rest. But i start each workout with the compound lifts doing a 3x5 and then hypertrophy after with 3x8-12.
Would working out this way be good enough or do you guys think I should stick to something like PHUL or 531 BBB? My main goal is aesthetics and to gain weight to about 150lb. I know I need to be eating more, I just want to know if I would be wasting my time with this workout.

I think you should actually eat some food and lift weight.
>531 BBB
There you go. Add some curls and side raises and shit after presses and you're all set.

You re obviously still in the beginner stage of lifting. There s absolutely no reason you should be doing a brosplit, or even BBB or any advanced PL routine. Stick to a basic weekly progressive overload routine like SS or SL 5x5 and eat a lot. When you get your lifts to respectable numbers, then you can start talking about hypertrophy splits or whatever.
Also a 6x day PPL is what you would be looking for when you build up more strength. First exercise always a compound at 3x5 and the rest at 3x8-12
Not eating enough
