I need SLEEP ADVICE

1. Any tips to getting better sleep overall, faster to sleep, better quality, etc.? I'm taking melatonin and ZMA, and don't use caffeine much. Have flux installed.

2. More iNTENSE dreams. My dreams are bland and boring. i'm not really interested in lucid dreaming. I want to get dreams that give me insight. Perhaps more generally, I don't remember my dreams much. How can I improve dream intensity and recall? I haven't had a nightmare in years

First, read for a half hour before you go to sleep. Use something without an LCD screen.
For dreaming, lay on your back.

They seem to have made me fall asleep faster and I have deeper sleeps

to add to #2, put yourself in new situations, explore, talk to random people if you can (they won't care really you'll be a speck in their life and most likely never see them again)

also i listen to a podcast about something "light"/not that importan to fall asleep, like a 40 minute BBC news podcast or joe rogan, i've found that if i read before bed i often get to excited or interested in the what i'm reading, kinda like if i put on an exciting movie or documentary

What helped me remember my dreams was doing dream recall right when I woke up every morning

Basically you just keep a journal next to your bed and when you wake up in the middle of the night to piss or whatever or in the morning you write down what you were dreaming about in detail

After a couple weeks you'll be dreaming more often and more vividly

Also turn off all your electronic devices. If you dont own an alarm clock, get one. If you wake up in the middle of the night, dont grab your phone. Try to recall in your mind what you just dream about while closing your eyes and go back to that exact dream. Shit works sometimes for me, and its really intense.
