>Getting /fit/
Momentarily happiness, feels great but once the "high" ends you're back to your old self
>Networking, creating a social circle and friends
True, permanent happiness
Is this right?
Should you focus more on being social than loning away in the gym?

You should focus on being a well-rounded person.
The key to happiness is recognising and appreciating when you are happy. You can become a happy and content person 3 seconds at a time. You don't need your entire life to be perfect to be happy, you just need to be able to recognise moments that should make you happy.
> finish a set and get that rush of endorphins?
> appreciate it, focus on it, enjoy it
> notice that cutie at the check-out mirin your jacked biceps?
> take a moment to linger in it, take it in, remember it
> get up early to hit the gym before work?
> take a deep breath of that fresh morning air and watch the sun breach the horizon, just be present in the moment
It takes practice, but it fucking works

So you don't feel fulfilled when improving yourself one a single aspect of self improvement, but feel satisfied on having your happiness based on others. Nice to know anon.

no
back to the drawing board
>True, permanent happiness
No such thing. Happiness is typically a measure of dopamine which is always more temporary than not
>Should you focus more on being social than loning away in the gym?
If you're seeking to treat the symptoms of depression, then both are important.
>Regular exercise
>Regular sunshine
>Regular social interaction with peers
>Good sleep
>Good diet
>Good management of stress
The requirements for what most people consider satiation of mental health.
You are absolutely right OP. Especially considering the fact that going to the gym equals spending every waking hour there.

Are you retarded? Muscles last a long fucking time if you keep at it long enough.
Friends and women can't wait for the next opportunity to fuck you over.
Money comes and goes but that 140 snatch lasts forever.
get some fucking nietzsche into you you dumb shits.

>you're back to your old self
wat
this literally never happens unless you give up lifting
>>40037854
People stress me the fuck out. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the company of my friends and meeting new people, but after a period of heavy social interactions I have the physical nees to take a few days to be completely alone. On the other hand, I never grow tired of lifting

You know how you can dedicate an hour of every day to working out?
Take that discipline and apply it to other areas of your life. Like making friends or finding a job.
