I keep my core tight when doing basically every lift but I never do any specific ab workouts because I'm a fatfag.
Question is am I still strengthening my core? I don't really care about defined abs, I just want to get down to 20% bf eventually and keep putting on mass.
I'm not a powershitter btw.

Right now. Almost everyone will benefit from isolating core. It protects your organs, and can help to improve balance. No reason not to do it. Recovery time is very short for your core, and even if you starve your self, if you don't do some core work ( not squats), you will have no definition and be skinny fat basically.
