About 6 months ago I started working out on my own and doing crossfit (inb4 dumbass). In those 6 months I have lost a total of 53lbs. However my maxes on lifts like Clean and Jerk and Squat, and Bench have only gone up very little (from 165 on bench to 190 and from 160 on C&J to 190). Is this because I am losing weight? I have been eating a diet of around 17-1900 calories a day. I have another 45lbs id like to lose.

This. My original goal was 180, figured I'd be pretty skinny, ended up dropping down to 150, and still looked a little flabby. Being as big as you were has affected your body image.

People lie a lot on this website. The reality is that strength progress is very slow. You probably wont hit 225 bench for another 10-15 months honestly whether or not you eat better and focus on it.

You have enough fat on you to progress in strength normally and still cut down.

Yeah he looks shredded but he doesn't necessarily have muscle. He is either 1. Not 6'+ 2. Lying about his weight or 3. Has fucked up genetics and thus a really small frame for 6'2".
