I find people with snap back in the gym to be complete douche.

I guess its not AWFUL but I really wouldn't like it absorbing all my sweat and blocking evaporation and such.
I personally wouldn't wear one.

For warmth, sure. If you're in a heated gym, very little reason other than you think it makes you look cool. Which it doesn't.
