What are some highly restrictive diets like keto?
I've used keto plenty of the last few years and I get amazing results but as soon as I go off I lose all discipline. I need those strict boundaries to stick to it.

maybe tim ferriss' slow carb (paleo with legumes and oats and one cheat day a week) or cyclical keto (anabolic diet, ultimate diet 2.0, steak and eggs diet, etc) which is keto with a cheat day or cheat weekend.

Not going vegan, it's too much but vegetarian could work, and I'm also not interested in supplementing anything, if I don't get it from my diet then I need to change my diet and make sure I get it.

intermittent fasting?
eat one meal per day (dinner, usually) of whatever you want, skip the other meals. or endless other variations.

Sounds pretty cool, does it affect your training though? can you lift well coming off like 20 hours fasting? Assuming I eat dinner.

depends. leangains is an intermittent fasting program where you eat one small carby meal before a workout, a big carby meal after, and low carb on the off days, but no breakfast.
or there's alternate day fasting. you could make your workout days the days you eat and fast on the off days.
or you could do fasted training, but thats not great for gains.
like I said. lots of variations. best bet is to google "intermittent fasting weight training" or something for details.
