You need to force posterior pelvic tilt to keep tension in the front of your core and not the back. Ab wheel might be too difficult for that hollow body position. You could do walkouts with your hands instead to more easily control the motion.

Do them from knees. Keep shoulders locked and focus on bending your core for this movement (a mistake a lot of people make) and not your shoulders.
You can use bands to progress and even use a wall to stop the wheel.
Walkouts are also great as anon said.
