Why is it that taller people are better at deadlift and worse at squat? It would be logical that those midgets who squat 5 times their bodyweight should be as amazing at deadlift since the bar has to travel shorter path, yet nobody short can even come close to what Eddie Hall and other tall strongman can do.
Longer levers with a stronger grip. I know a powerlifter who's short and he can only deadlift with straps because his hands are too small to get a good purchase.

Leverages. Tall guys often have lanky arms.
>>39908032
it's not range of motion that's the deciding factor, it's leverages
taller men tend to have longer arms and legs relative to their height, which is great for deadlifting and bad for benching and squatting (long femurs especially are bad for squatting)
t. guy with 38 inseam and a shitty squat, good deadlift

I am 6'4" with a long torso. I can deadlift 5 plates but only bench 2 :(
Squat 4.
Chart is bullshit I guess I'm saying.
>>39908801
>tfw 6'5" arms at 6' height.
Got that 465deadlift at auswich mode though, squat is only 375.
>>39908878
you squat 4 and deadlift 5, so you are not particularly pull dominant
>>39908882
you are not that pull dominant either
>deadlift almost 6pl8, squat a little over 4pl8
>femurs longer than torso
just
>>39908878
How is that wrong? Your bench is shit compared to your dl, jwhich makes sense for someone with lanky arms.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I am 6'4" with the arms of somebody who is 6'2", and my bench is for shit compared to my squat and especially deadlift.
>tfw 6'' tall with long arms
>DL just 395, squat 315, bench 350
JUST

Holy fuck dat Lamar Gant
>>39908032
>squat 5 times their body weight
Their deadlift is usually also amazing, relative to body weight. Eddie Hall clearly has more raw strength, but he is 400lbs himself. Half a ton is less than 3x body weight for him.
>>39908032
Taller people aren't worse at squatting.

How can you even see if he gets below parallel with all that fat in the way?
>>39909477
you can still see the hip crease
>>39909446
yeah it's not height, it's limb proportions
totally possible to be 5'7", all limbs, and built to deadlift
