Alright anon, you have some explaining to do.
Why aren't you jumping rope?
>great cardio
>great full body warm up before lifting
>with regular practice makes you more agile and light on your feet
>>39902743
because I'm not a 6 year old girl.
Also, because my knees suck due to injury, so I have to stick low impact exercises.
>>39902743
Because I'm not in 4th grade gym class very often anymore
>>39902808
>literally jumping in place
>not low impact
>>39902816
Have you ever seen proper speed rope? Like the way wrestlers and boxers jump?
>>39902853
When i had a fucked up knee i couldn't skip either.
For a while I was jump roping every morning, only problem was my feet and calves would hurt on long runs because I think jump rope got in the way of letting my legs recover between runs. Still do it though just less frequently.
I love jump roping. What is your routine? I've jumped rope long enough to be considered advanced I think.
Currently I do 6 rounds, 3 mins each with a 30 sec burn out at 2:30 and a 1 min break between each round. Thinking of reducing the break time, or maybe adding more rounds.
Any routines to share?

>talks about speed rope
>LOW IMPACT
more like
>HIGH IMPACT KNEE VIOLENCE

I do the same, but I'm only up to 4 3-mins.
My goal is to increase to 10 intervals without slowing down to a skipping girl pace.

What about running a few miles for warmup :D
>>39902743
Cause I dont know how
> bought a speed rope
> whip myself in the feet and head
> throw rope in the trash
because i don't want to
>>39902743
because Im already swimming 4x a week. Last time I jumped roped my calves hurt mad the next day
I do need a Crossfitters jump rope the normal licorice ropes wear out fast after doing double unders
>>39904952
>running a few miles for warmup
that's literally the gayest thing i've seen today

Jump rope master race here.
I usually go by skip count based on 150 skips a minute. So I do 5 sets of 5 minutes or 750 jumps with 3 minute rest in between. I've been taking about 4:20-30 to complete the 750 so I just take extra rest.
I alternate two foot vs running style every 100 skips to make counting easier.
I only do this about once a week though.
My other route is 24 minutes straight jumping by 8 sets of 2 minutes fast(or one footed) then 1 minute easy. A world class rock climber gave me that routine.
