I currently lift 6 times a week, but I hope when I hit 30+, I keep lifting, but more on a maintenance style program (2-3 times a week).
Don't think it is too unreasonable. I enjoy lifting and want to do it for life.

Been lifting on and of since my early twenties, but took it seriously in two years ago.
Even if I don't look super aesthetic, most of my coworkers and friends look like shit tho, so, can't complain.
