First month or two you'll be searching for differences and not finding any.

A few months in you'll've stopped looking for signs of progress, but people will notice and compliment you.

At this point you do realize the progress you've made, and now you often look in the mirror thinking about what you have left to improve.

I'm at 1.4 years of progress since I've began exercising, 1 year since my first lift.
