Idk what your program is, but if it's a three day thing just do squats and diddlies once a week and spend the rest of the week letting your upper body lifts catch up. (Also, if you're still progressing fast, I'd just get to x/x/3/4 before you slow up on the lower body. I'm about to switch back to 4 a week because I'm stalling at x/x/2.5/3 on lower.

ah yeah that explains it. speaking from experience, heavier people tend to progress better with squats and deads and suffer for the upper body exercises.

People don't get it's not meant to be impressive at all. It's just a benchmark. Showing you've spent some time in the gym and have most likely just got out of dyel mode. People think it means you're some beast mode and that's why it's been confused with doing it for 5. It's not impressive or meant to be. Just meant to show you've made some progress and need to keep going.
