Why hasn't the sticky been updated to the latest protein intake studies?
Eric Helms just did his PHD on protein intake and came to the conclusion that you should eat 1.2g per KG bodyweight if bulking or maintaining, and 1.8g per KG bodyweight if cutting.
That said, why does sticky still say 1g per Lbs?
Isn't 1g/lb pretty close to 1.8g/kg?

nobody can afford to buy this much protein

That's even lower than 1g/lb, which is what has been thrown around here. Your statement is utterly incorrect
1) the Liam Rosen site hasn't been updated since 2012. It's not going to update any time soon
2) different studies come to different conclusions, and one person's thesis does not account for a scientific concensus
3) 1g/lb is an easier figure to remember off the top of one's head since many people can spout off their weight in lbs without much thought
