Unrelated but I just realised Moot is in Ljubljana in this picture. I've seen it a lot of times but never realised that.
It's gonna take some time to build up strength and durability in you legs if you started running just now. I mean you basically smacking your feet into the ground a thousand times and that shit will not go unoticed.
Watch out though if the pain get more "serious", you don't wanna get injured.
Do you restrain your steps when your feet hit the ground or do you stomp full force?

It sounds like what's wrong is that your knees hurt.
It's probably just from running the first time. If it continues to happen after you've been running for a couple weeks, then it could be a legitimate problem with your knees/running form.

bikes are easier on knees.
whatever gets your heart rate up, eat at a deficit.
I walk uphill at 2mph for half an hour and my heart rate is near 180 most of the time.
