So im a lard who started going to the gym recently, i work with my dad and grandfather at our family paving company and i lift things all day weighing in between 100-250 pounds daily. Why cant i bench close to that? (Pic unrealated)

First of all, nice trips.

Second of all, this is a blue board. Your thread is gonna get deleted.

Third, that's because benching is all upper body strength. When you lift shit at work you have your fat ass and legs to carry most of the slack your arms cannot. Ever see how a pully works? That's how your body works basically when you lift something standing up, all your muscles work together. This is not the case when benching.
