What does /fit/ thinks of Allpro Beginner Routine?
3 days a week:
> Squats
> Bench Presses
> Bent-Over Rows
> Overhead Barbell Presses
> Stiff-Legged Deadlifts
> Barbell Curls
> Calf Raises
5 week cycle:
> The first week do all 4 sets for 8 reps.
> The second week do all 4 sets for 9 reps.
> The third week do all 4 sets for 10 reps.
> The fourth week do all 4 sets for 11 reps.
> The fifth week do all 4 sets for 12 reps.
If you got all of the required reps on the fifth week then increase the weight by 10% and repeat the cycle.

I like the excersize combo, but wtf.
You increase the weight every 5 weeks by 10%?
That's goddamn ridiculous.
Have you seen how fast other programs up the weight?
Also since it's a % increase you are actually addding MORE weight than the last time every time. Strenght gains actually get smaller the stronger you get.

Yes, but the programme has deloading built in so the 10% jump shouldn't make you stall until you to the really heavy weights, by which time you should change to some other programme anyway

I did this program as a beginner for 8 months. It works. I saw mad gains and it helped me form a strong base to move onto more advanced programs. I recommend this.

Very slow progression, but it has progression, so I guess that's good and it also has a pretty high amount of volume. Suppose you start with a 135x8 squat for example and put in the progress you would be making, you'll be at doing 350x8 by the end of the year, which seems a little too high but plausible for someone with good genetics and leverages.
If you're going strictly for aesthetics, I suppose this is a good routine. Personally if I went for aesthetics, I'd prefer just doing SS and adding some rows, curls and face pulls until I would stop to see gains and then switch to 5/3/1 with all my previously added lifts and do the BBB addition. Should probably give faster gains and strength.

Whats the rest time between sets?
