I'm going to sign up for a gym soon but I don't want to put my shit in the locker room. I live pretty close to there anyway so I can just walk 2 minutes back to my house to shower.

What to do with my wallet etc.? I could wear a fanny pack but somehow I don't think being the guy who shows up in a fanny pack on the first day is a good start for my gym experience.

I used to live 2 minutes from my gym.

Why would you bring your wallet? Just bring the gym membership card and that's it, put it in your shoe or pocket, same with keys.
