A friend of mine swears by squatting every workout, not because of the leg strength gains, but because of it "releasing growth hormone." Basically it facilitates muscle building in other parts of the body by increasing test and GH production.
Should I be squatting every day /fit/?

To the extent that this is true, this applies for essentially every compound exercise.

The "Squatting causes all over growth" meme
>not knowing that compound lifts create a better hormonal response

Lel I spew this same bullshit broScience, it makes sense that's why I do it even though I've done zero research. Just try it for a couple weeks, you'll feel much better pumps when you hit your upper body because of all that extra blood flow coming from your legs.

I did, but my friend emphasized squats in particular. Do you squat every workout?

It will never die

This is /fit/, almost every routine shown here involves squatting at varying intensities each workout.
