If I get a pull up bar, will it rip the frame off my door? I only weigh 180 but my door frame is pretty delicate. Will it work?

I'm just wondering if anyone else has one
I've done weighted pull-ups of 100lbs at a bodyweight of 220 without ruining my doorframe.

Wrap sponges in hand towels and put them between the bar and frame where all the force is going to be put. After doing that I haven't had mine mark the doors at all

I cushion my as well except I don't see why the sponges are necessary. Just folding hand towels into 2 or 3 layers will suffice.
Just buy one of these instead, so you don't destroy your fucking house, plus you can do dips as well plus some ab stuff.

Looks expensive, heavy, and clumsy as fuck (to carry up 2 flights of stairs in my case)

We don't have a very good track record for DIY carpentery projects

Its designed in such a way as to hang off your head casing but focus most force in towards the wall once weight is applied. That clamping action keeps your head casing from shredding. Should be fine.

Just buy one of these anon

That pull up bar looks bad.
It's too narrow and it's cut into sections, so getting into position would be a burden.
Why not just stick a pipe into your walls in the corner instead?
