I need help guys. The REC center of my uni is closed until January 2 so access to a barbell is gone until then. I'm going to be hopping around apartment gyms for free and using dumbbells for whatever I can and make machines a last resort.
How heavy should each dumbbell be if I lift a total of (don't laugh, I just started lifting):
>Bench: 150 lbs 3x5
>OHP: 85 lbs 3x5
>Squat: 165 lbs 3x5
>Deadlift: 175 lbs 1x5
I'm worried about how to get my squatting and deadlifting in for the week since I don't know if its possible to do them with dumbbells. I have access to a leg press though, but it probably won't be the same

Are you seriously so insecure about your body you can't even go two weeks without lifting? It's no wonder you're still a virgin.

I'm not insecure, I just feel a sense of guilt not working out when I can. Besides, I don't want to bulk when I'm not even lifting. I need keep those muscles working

Not gonna make it

Personal rule of thumb: dumbell weight in each hand = one third of barbell weight.

Long shot here but Tucson? My University's rec is closed till the exact same date
If you can't find a gym do calisthenics
>military push-ups
>squats (try pistol but it's incredibly hard)
>calf raises (single leg)
>pull-ups/chin-ups if you can find something to hang from

RIP UofA bros
The rec is great and all, but I prefer plat fitness and not having to wait for everything

I never go to the rec because the apartment I live in (Luna/Level, next to The Hub) has an ok gym which unlike the rec isn't crowded as fuck, and you can stay in till well after midnight (I'm a night owl).
Sadly there's no squat rack, which is the only major failing of the gym, so I have to squat really light since I have to lift the bar and swing it over my head which is honestly pretty scary.
