Digestive biscuits.
Affordable foods for...
carbs: potatoes, rice, oats, bread, beans, apples, bananas
fat: peanuts, bacon, butter
protein: milk, eggs, beans again, chicken (whole chicken tends to run cheaper than parts or filets)
If you don't hate the taste, offal is often really cheap. Pork and beef tongue is great. Liver is extremely nutritious; pork and beef liver has a strong taste but chicken is a bit easier to stomach. Heart is great too. Beef heart is a bit like steak with a different texture. Pork heart is easy to prepare, dirt cheap and great food. Chicken hearts make great teriyaki skewers and cheap as hell too.
Mixed nuts.
You can buy a small can you can finish in 10 minutes, which will easily get you over 1k calories
