Mass gainer can be pricey up front if you dont make much, but it helps me get the calories i need.

Poorfag here, here's what I spend each month shopping at Walmart (getting protein full price from MyProtein)
$40 – Protein
$37 – Soymilk
$16 – Protein bars
$16 – Oats
$15 – Raisins
$15 – String cheese
$14 – Peanut butter
$12 – Bread
$10 – Bananas
$10 – Cranberry juice
I get roughly 3kcals/day, 170g protein, 390g carbs, 80g fat every day for under $200/month
Other good inexpensive options for bulking are eggs, beans, olive oil, pasta etc

I shoot for 6 small meals a day, around 500 cals or so. All the stuff on that list is fast digesting too, so you'll never run into the problem of feeling full for hours after eating. The cranberry juice is also something more specific to me, since I have a stomach problem which requires me to take nutrient absorbing meds and the cranberry juice helps prevent that effect. Still, it doesn't hurt to throw it in there.

srsly i go lifting 6 times a week and my body just wants more and more food. I eat 4 meals a day, 1000kcal per meal.
