If I'm running 14 miles a week, and swimming about 500m once a week, will I still be able to make upper body gains?
Also any tips on eating lots, really struggling to eat enough.

14 miles might be little excessive
5km 3times a week with focus on speed was pretty good for me but i had some shitty hip pain. Now im doing HIIT after workouts on rowing machine

What part of it is going to kill my gains?
Also just worked it out properly and it's going to be 17km a week.
Could you post a pic of what you looked like when you were doing 15 km a week?

no, all running does is make u lose muscle and fat and u will gain endurance. if ur trying to make upper body gains do some pushups pullups and chinups and dips

Sorry I left out a bit, this 17km a week goes with 2 upper body days in the gym a week

Just do SS + 2 accessories and alternate it with running 5k. Then eat tons of food. Ta-da you are now reasonably strong and fast.

Don't listen to these non-lifting nerds itt. 17km and 500m a week really isn't that much. Just make sure you eat even more and sleep enough. Unless you have some serious condition or an extraordinaryly stressfull life, this won't be too much for anyones body. Sadly /fit/ is filled with people that have never done any sport aside from SS, so they don't know shit.
>w-what you are adding 3 sets of bi's to SS?
>w-what you are moving outside of the gym?
>HOW WILL YOUR BODY BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE VOLUME OMGGGGGG
And these are the fags giving advice here.

Kill yourself overreacting faggot.
He said 14miles in week which is more than 15km.
15km is more or less 20min ehich is perfect. Problem with running is that i had hip joints issues afterwards amd last Thing i want before squatting next day is pain in my hips orknees.
Thus is switched to HIIT cardio after strength training on rowing machine.
Its challenging as shit

What are the best shoes to run ?

Short answer is no. Long answer is noooooo..
>>39699899
That's 2 miles a day. Like 12 to 15 minutes of running a day is not excessive.
Christ fit, learn something about actual fitness.

You should be fine. That's basically 3 X 20 - 30 minute cardio sessions.
When you say gains do you mean primarily strength gains or size gains. Generally speaking swimming is not a great exercise for size gains, but is very good for strength maintenance and muscle tone.
Even then 500m is recreational swimming so its not gonna matter.
