How does /fit/ avoid screwing up their back? I've been rather sedentary for several years now, 5'11'' 200 lb, 25. I have tried to get into shape, but always screw up my back in the process. Even doing basic shit like push ups, sit ups, squats (no weights), I manage to screw up my back to point I can hardly move for days.
We read the sticky. Unlike somebody.

keep doing it and your brain will stop defining what you are doing as screwing up your back, you will define it as something else
this is the process of improving
you just think you are screwing up your back,
what you are doing may not be totally great, but it's a process man, fuck
stop being a bitch
stop trying to intellectualize your way out of work, sweat, and effort

No, I mean I seriously fuck up my back. It's not like it just hurts a little, it literally immobilizes me. My family has a history of chronic back problems. I would consult a chiropractor, but I cannot afford that.
