One cup or less per day and you'll be okay.
If you are drinking for the effects, drink caffeine as rarely as possible - when you actually need it even a relatively small amount will be quite powerful.
I used to drink a full pot of coffee a day when I was younger. I think it fried some of my nerves or something now that I'm older

If you're that concerned, switch to green tea. It,s more of a relaxing stimulation anyways. Plus the antioxydants
Recent research is showing a very large number of health benefits from drinking coffee. I doubt it's enough to change your life, but if you want a cup or even two go for it.

I'm on a nightshift and I've drank about 8 cups of instant coffee (black) through the night.
Am I fucked? I tried doing a nightshift last night without it and I fell asleep. I work 6pm - 6am and I don't get to bed until 7am. if I wake up at 2pm to mealprep and then go to the gym I'm fucked all night. Coffee is literally my fuel.
