This is the biggest meme lift ever.
It's in one of the most popular routines but nobody ever talks about it. Not on /fit/ or in real life. I have never seen anyone do it in the gym.

I clean for OHP.
Whenever I see someone do them, it's some autistic DYEL kid. Probably only /fit/izens do them.

My gym doesn't have a power rack, so I clean to get into OHP position.

It's because you go to shitty, commercial, franchised gyms
Last time I went to the gym I saw some ~13 year old kids power cleaning with 45 kg. Also plenty of athletes, including myself, do it.
The only people who do it at my gym are me, and this old man who "trains" people from time to time by teaching CrossFit moves. All they do is catch cleans on their wrists. He tells them to catch them on their shoulders, and then demonstrates by catching it on his wrists. Shits funny yo

just yesterday I saw 3 people do it in my gym out of like dozen present there.
One was a man who got it completely wrong
The other one was this built woman who shamed all other men with her lifts and immaculate form (picture Bryenne from GoT)
The third one was her coach.
Did this yesterday as part of my D-line routine.
It's real good for transfering power from your legs to your core and up.
Can reccomend.

I only do cleans with low weight to do a standing shoulder press, cleans are a meme and literally don't do anything

I do them once a week on my heavy deadlift day as a warm up/fun time. Feels good when everything clicks and you get that perfect rep where the weight feels like nothing.

My gym has racks but I prefer cleaning my OHP, I don't know why but my rack position feels better when I do.
