Went 28 years without trying avocado.
Tried it a few months ago. Nothing special. But I can appreciate their place in a healthy diet.
Why am i making this post.

avocado are one of those foods which are really hit and miss regarding their quality and condition. most foods aren't so fragile. e.g. even an inferior breed of' banana is bretty decent. pleb cheese is still decent, still tastes like cheese. avocados have a very narrow sweet spot. must have good avocado genes AND be the perfect ripeness to experience what it's all about.

blueberries are another. the non-expensive ones are just tasteless. took me years to actually taste good quality ones and realise what they actually taste like.

prawns/shrimp is a third example. everyday pleb ones taste like nothing. try good woodwork ones and you'll see what the fuss is all about.
