oh wow people who pay attention to nutrition are healthier than an average american

Still haven't seen any studies in favor of veganism where both groups knew their shit about nutrition and eating. But I guess it's easier to just compare vegans to the average Joe to hook couple of retards to buy your natural organic squirel diarrhea tea

>>
>>39643374
I think there's a study that analyzed a population that had very high life expectancy as a whole, that found that among those, vegans were the healthiest of them all. By how much I don't know.

But yeah, I don't really think that going vegan just to be like 2% healthier or live a few years longer is worth it.

And it's not like I'm advocating a diet of 2 pounds ground beef every day and 10 eggs and a gallon of milk. If you eat normal portion sizes of meat and dairy, and get your fruits and veggies, and exercise a good amount, I don't really see any advantage to going vegan and being autistic about everything you eat.
>>
>>39643397

it's kind of hard to see these meatheads defend an inhumane diet that's literally giving them colon cancer

>>
>>39645427
I literally feel nothing watching stuff like this. Sure I am morally inclined to be against this kind of massive animal killing industry, but I see nothing wrong in the practice of killing animals to eat them. We have animal rights in my country which prevent them from being treated this way though, and I mostly buy local produce. I fish a lot myself too
>>
scenario:
a lioness catches a gazelle, snaps it's neck with it's jaws, and drags it back to it's family where they eat it.
why is that okay because it's just animal instinct? but when a human gets a cow, kills it, and takes the meat to their family and eat it, it's evil and wrong?
>>
>>39646125

Why is it okay when a male lion kills the children of another male lion and mates with its female, but if I do that to another human I'm some kind of asshole?
>>
>>39646145
ah, but you see most humans think male lions killing cubs is wrong too. but only vegans think lions killing gazelle is natural while humans eating meat is not.
>>
>>39646145
Well it is technically a bit strange that some human males help raise other mens children instead of their own, no?

Most mammals compete for breeding rights, humans especially but humans also show cuck signs so im not sure which is which

Then again murder is illegal and if youre 20+ and looking for a girl and disregard girls with kids then there are maybe 1 for every 1000 men so perhaps that contributes
>>
>>39646172

>ah, but you see most humans think male lions killing cubs is wrong too

why don't these vegan retards who go around pushing MUH HEALTH ever mention those things? after all they're concerned about everyone's health, right?

YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO CHOOSE THE HEALTHIEST OPTION, BASED OFF THESE STUDIES, WHEN IT COMES SPECIFICALLY TO DIET

BUT IT'S STILL OKAY TO BE UNHEALTHY IN ALL OTHER ASPECTS OF HEALTH I DON'T CARE ABOUT THOSE

Whaddaya want me to list all the specific arrangements and spins of the subatomic particles in your food, you fucking mong?
The point is, you won't get all the essential nutrients from vegetables and nothing will change that.
Not only that you will eventually alienate your body from any other food, so once you realize what a stupid fucking decision you've made and you try to go back, your body will start rejecting other food.
On another note there isn't a single piece of credible research that proves being vegan makes anything better, not your health, not the environment, nothing.
So instead of following some special snowflake fad and being a little jerkoff faggot who jerks off with his other vegan pals, research on how your body works and make it fucking work, you brainlet faggot.

"Vegetables, meats and grains" can be practically any non-vegetarian/vegan diet. It just sounds like you're pulling things out of your ass.

>yeah, vegan diets suck
>a good diet is like... it like has meat and stuff... and vegetables...

I do agree with you though that a good diet isn't 100% vegetables. A vegan diet isn't 100% vegetables. It's based on vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains, and nuts, the same as any recognized "healthy diet" but without the added burden of saturated fat and cholesterol from meat, and with more fiber and health-promoting plant compounds.

Now I'll let this thread devolve into more denial and uneducated people trying to talk about things they've never bothered to research despite having unreasonably strong opinions.

Not only that, with various cooking methods you can eliminate most of the fat, if you're that much of a faggot

It's not even comparing vegans to average americans. This is a mice study. They're comparing mice in a kind of calorie restriction to mice fed a high fat diet. Even under a normal diet, ad libitum, mice get overweight, those fed a high fat diet become morbidly obese. It's no wonder their blood would be bad for transfusion into mice with tumors, it's totally loaded with growth factors.

And yes, "industry" meat is shit. If I lived in a large city where all I could get was factory farmed stuff, I'd consider going vegan. But I don't. I get meat from my uncle's farm, eggs from my own chickens, sometimes meat from local butchers etc.

whatever friend, but there ARE ways to talk to omnivores without demonizing them.

For instance, the the planet's food supply would be far more sustainable if it's population consumed only plants, as well as people would be generally healthier if their diet came from mostly plant-based sources.

What's NOT going to win you any converts is telling people they are morally inferior to you for eating meat, those who agree are already vegan and those who don't won't be swayed by that argument.

> it's not superior to a healthy balanced diet that includes animal products.

Why do you say that? Any healthy diet is based mainly around vegan foods. That's whole grains, vegetables, beans, fruits, and nuts. Those are the foods that make a healthy diet healthy. Now what happens when you add chicken, beef, eggs, cheese, etc? Aside from displaying those healthy foods, you're adding unnecessary, unhealthful things like saturated fats, cholesterol, and even carcinogens in some meats, which may raise your cholesterol, raise your blood pressure, increase levels of inflammation, and make cancers more likely to form. Wouldn't you agree that the core diet is better?

It's like saying a soda-free diet isn't superior to "a healthy balanced diet that includes soda." The diet can include many healthy foods, and can overall be relatively healthy, but that doesn't mean the soda wouldn't be undermining the rest of the diet.

>So by your own admission, its a futile effort trying to convert people

Without kicking people in the balls when you need to, yes. If you make people feel okay about doing something that they shouldn't be doing because you're afraid of offending them, you're never going to help anything. Lots of people, including myself, started out thinking vegans were hippie faggots eating exclusively tofu and steamed carrots and struggling to hit 10 grams of protein a day. People like that need to be kicked in the balls about things, not talked to delicately. It's better to get into a heated argument and have them pissed off at you but reading your posts anyway, than to just ignore what you're saying because you're not engaging them at all, or not even seeing the message because you were afraid someone would get upset that you told them stabbing cows in the neck isn't a nice thing to do.

I'm not "adding unnessecary things" to my diet. My diet already includes meat.

To go vegan I would have to remove things from my diet and/or replace them with other things.

The point is that I don't see the necessity to change my relatively healthy diet, I like meat. As long as I can afford meat and can get meat from local organic sources, I will continue to eat meat. I also exercise regularly and don't consume much of other "unhealthy" foods, e.g. high sugar foods.

Also humans have eaten meat for tens of thousands of years. Don't try to tell me we've not evolved to digest meat.

>Prerequisites to prove without a shadow of a doubt that veganism is the healthiest way to live
Prove that for every individual non-vegan food,
taken in any quantity,
it is objectively always inferior to include it over the pure veganism alternative.

If you can't prove this, stop shilling veganism.

Does the objectively healthiest diet for longevity in the general population lean more towards veganism than a diet saturated in fast food or a protein and fats heavy diet? Perhaps so, but sensible people can mix and match without going vegan and probably live healthier than strict vegans would because of the health benefits provided by the added variety in their diets.
>>
>>39651939
You just admitted plants are sentient you dipshit. There's no evidence that any creature but humans can exhibit "subjectivity". You're confusing sapient and sentience. Sentience is a hilariously low bar to hurdle, with even protozoa and other microscopic organisms exhibiting it. Sapience is a much more specific and hard to meet standard, and only humans meet it.

This whole "hur u can't kill sentient beings" tripe does nothing but show how little vegans understand their own philisophocal arguments.

I'm going to eat vegan for a month (or more) and see how I feel, currently on day five. I enjoy giving different eating styles a go. Naturally the main difference is a much lower fat intake and a higher carb intake. I'm avoiding nuts and cooking oil too, otherwise there'd be hardly any macro difference. In saying that, it appears that vegans claim the main health detriment is animal fat.

I'm feeling good so far, which is why I'm doing this. The ethical side of things isn't a consideration for me to be honest. I'll get a better perspective after a couple of full workout weeks. Currently I'm reading some of John McDougall's works and following his recommendations. What do vegans ITT think of him? I don't really know who the authoritative figures are in this community.

there is nothing wrong with killing an animal whether it be by bullet, knife, electrocution or any other method.

you think a lion cares when hes eating a buffalo if its suffering?
>>
Vegans just have more micronutrients in their blood from eating a diverse range of vegetables.

If a regular person ate the same variety of vegetables with smaller portions while eating meat their health would be the same if not better from the micronutrients in meat.

you just dont understand journalists they write shit to have people read the article.

what normie would click something with a boring title when they could rope thousands more with a title like "study shows vegans cant get cancer:DDD"

I'd rather get cancer than stop eating meat

No it doesnt. You're basing your lies off of a few sensationalized, terrible studies that used any and every unethical means to get the results the studies wanted, and still only managed to get very weak correlative relstionships. Like everything vegans lie and claim is """""fact""""" it's absolutely nothing.
