What's the minimum of reps per set when you do:
Squats
Benchâ„¢
OHPs
Deadlifts
the minimum is 1. or 0, depending on how you define minimum reps.

Do you even progress if you do 1 rep/set?
>>39615027
diddies: 1x3-5 for PR and 3x8 for 0.8-0.9
everything else: 1x5 for PR, 5x8-12 for volume at 0.8-0.9
You can do sets of 1 if you're training at 95% of your max. You will progress, it's just dangerous

3 but usually do 5
1x5 for deadlift
3 or 5 x 5 for everything else

It's safe to shoot for 1RMs for all of them, but for work sets I usually stick to the 2-5 range for S/B/D and usually 5+ for OHP. I get some reps with dumbbells and machines.
>>39615066
of course, but nobody ever does ONLY 1 rep sets. usually you do some volume work and then you have heavy days where you might do sets of singles, doubles or triples etc.

>deadlifting for more than 3 reps

I increased the weight of my bench recently and can only do 3-4 reps, should I decrease it again?
>>39615206
increase it less.
>>39615206
Yes
If my routine has me doing a 3x5, I wait til I can do 6 on the last set without struggleface, then increase.

that's stupid. do microloading instead
>>39615428
?
I microload after I hit 3x5+1...
The whole point is if can only do 3x5 I won't be able to do 3x5 with 5 more pounds(the most "micro" possible increase) my next session, just like the guy I was responding to.
I got up to 6pl8 diddly doing nothing but dubs and sings. Its the cornerstone of power training nigga

You can actually buy little 1.25 lb plates, letting you increment by 2.5 lbs. I bought a pair of these and just left them at my gym.

microloading is retarded.
your day to day fluctations are bigger than that.
also, the weights in your shitty gym aren't calibrated, and as you don't always get exactly the same weights, you never know how much you really use.
