What is a good weight to shoot for? The lowest I saw on Amazon was 12 pounds but I'm worried that won't be enough

I used to use a 20kg chest piece when I was ~130kg of flab, basically I couldn't run so I upped the amount I was carrying when starting >exercise
All it really achieved was putting yet more pressure on my chest and incompetent lungs
