Wouldn't 20-30 reps per set be better for fat loss than 3-5 reps, just from a physics standpoint?

Maybe that's the reason why splitters look much better than SS victims?

Splitters do 8-12 reps per set and do more sets

They go for volume exhaustion rather than intensity exhaustion. And the reason splitters look better than powerlifters is they tend to cut more often than powerlifters because they don't care about maintaining strength. Their rep range doesn't magically make them stay lean.

I'm actually surprised there are so many newfags right before new years. Usually this time of the year is slow.

At that point you're just doing cardio basically. You're not doing anything to grow muscles (or prevent loss of muscle, in the case of weight loss).
