do you really need to eat protein in the morning during your fast to stop some muscle degeneration during training?

the leangains guy says he always take bbca's in the morning.

so far i just eat at 17:00 every day and then consume nothing but tea and water the rest of the time.

so i have not eaten for like 18 hours when i go to the gym..

it feels fine, but ofc that doesnt say much

It's all about calories at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you eat them in the morning, for lunch or dinner. You just need to get the calories at some point of the day

well i am trying to lose weight fast.

i eat like 1100 cals for dinner and nothing else in between. i go to the gym 3 times a week and do full body.

so far 5 weeks in. hope to go for another 8

I don't know how tall you are or how high your activity level is but 1100 cals is pretty low, might wanna find your TDEE and just cut 500 calories below

this is from half a year ago and after a depression i am starting at the top again. so from this i can assume my TDEE is about 2400 a day.

i just wanna go fast. preferably get at least a bit skinny at 20 January for an event.
is this a problem?
(note that saying i wont be able to keep it up is not a problem since i know i can)
