I hate standard barbell rows from the floor. I hate the position you have to be in, I hate the fact that it's so easy to cheat at them that it basically comes naturally, and I hate how no other dude in the gym is EVER doing them.
Makes me feel like I'm doing a meme exercise. Are other variations of rows good enough to develop the same muscles? Or are from the floor rows really the end all be all?

Can I just do seated cable rows?

Weighted pullups

Yeah, as long as you stop being a lil bitch

Sounds like you hate doing them because they're hard...
I feel you breh. Barbell rows feel wrong. There's a seated row machine at my gym (you load plates onto it) but its a machine, the movement feels wrong. The best alternative i know is lying down on the stomach on a slightly inclined bench and rowing dumbbells off the floor, but that kind of hurts my stomach. Fugg, i just wanna pull stuff but no exercise is optimal.

The thing I hate the most about them is I don't even feel it in my back when I'm repping. I've recorded my form and have had guys watch me and I know my form is close to perfect, I just don't feel like it works my back nearly as much as cable rows, pull downs, pull ups, or even seated machine rows.
I know this feel. I feel like I go from "not enough weight, can do 12 reps way too easy" to "too much weight, can't even complete full ROM" with no in between.

They are the devil! I focused so much on form trying to feel it in my muscles I always lost count of how many reps I had done.
Scrapped!
