Is protein powder just a meme? I have no problem shovelling down tons of meat and dairy. Is it easier to balance macros, or what?

it mens you use it on top of your regular food intake so you can match your protein needs. if you're already getting your gram per kilo, you don't need whey.

most people need to overeat to reach their protein needs (like me - I get to 120g I have already eaten more food than I want to eat the entire day, so every day I take 58g of protein from whey).

You can get enough from your food but for hardgainers like me it just makes it easier to make sure I'm getting what i need.

you don't need whey powder. I haven't had it in months and I would have got to where I'm at right now without using it. It just tastes good depending on the brand you get and it's also helpful for satiety. It's definitely not a bullshit supplement but it isn't necessary.
