Let's talk about belts /fit/.
> What belt do you use?
> Powerlifting belt vs Olympic lifting belt
> Pronged vs lever
> When do you use your belt?
I've grown out of my flimsy nylon belt and want something more sturdy. Inzer belts look amazing and the lifetime guarantee seems great but I've only just hit 1/2/3/4 so is an Inzer belt too advanced? Any other suggestions?
Get a pronged inzer
Anything else is a mistake
Schiek lever belt. Prong belts are easier to work with when your going through cuts/bulks.

Really? I've been tossing up the one pronged Inzer and the lever Inzer. Why do you prefer the pronged Inzer over the others?

I have an Inzer lever and love it. People prefer prongs because of cuts/bulks like anon said.>>39575099
Another reason is that some like to have their belt tighter on squats and a little looser on deads. Switching the lever can be a pain.
>using a belt
lol

Maybe when you start deadlifting more that 3 plate you will learn why belts are handy anon.

this. I love my lever belt but once ur mid bulk it starts to feel like a corset. Its really great though if you lift alone you can get it super tight everytime with ease without needing a partner to help you hold it, tighten it, et cetera

Ah, never thought that I might set it a different size for different lifts. That makes a lot of sense. I might just pull the trigger on an Inzer. Sure they're expensive but I figure they will last a lifetime. Might see if I can find one second hand.

serious, been lifting for 3 years, ive tried a belt for squat/deadlift but it felt more annoying than anything. If you squat properly you shouldnt need a belt, if you squat low bar like a retarded powerlifter you'll need a belt, wrist wraps etc because the movement is not natural. Just hop on a good squatting program and itsn ot that hard. Belts are a meme even clarence said so. I've used ace bandages for my knees when I had patellar tendonitis thats it.

This. People seem to forget that proper form is miles better for saftey than a belt. Hell I would say more people get injured from belts cause they don't use it correctly and have shit form. Also i squat 365 and deadlift 455 after recovering from a slipped disc from handegg. People seem to forget lifting is not a race against others. Proper form may take a while to learn but never getting injured makes it worth it.
if you keep your belt at one notch lever is vastly superior
if you play with the notches ever lever is vastly inferior
you probably be better off getting both tbqh
