Got ligament damage in my shoulder. Been told to stay away from bench and anything overhead or risk fucking it.

Take 6 weeks off and then have it reassessed. I tore my shoulder up pretty badly mountain biking a decade ago. Had surgery to repair it, shorten ligaments, remove scar tissue etc. Tore it again 3 months ago doing OHP that was a bit too heavy. Just make sure you play it safe, ice the shit out of it, stretch and warm up before you do ANYTHING with it. Do light weight rotator cuff work as soon as it stops hurting. Find some comprehensive shoulder workouts and stick to them religiously with decently high volume and reasonable weight. I do 5x12 for all my shoulder exercises just to ensure I'm not going to heavy and running the risk of reinjury.
