Is it wise to eat a steak pre workout? I was gonna wait an hour and a half/2 for digestion. Its a "usda prime choice" piece of steak but I'm worried it's not considered "clean". Do I need a carb source like white rice ( all I have) or is the steak fine enough?

Yeah just the steak will be fine. I'd reccomend 30 minutes before. Your stomach may feel a little full but 30 minutes has been proven to be the optimum time for protein activation in your muscles.
