Is it possible to (naturally) increase aerobic capacity without sacrificing gains and strength?

Run and swim. Cardio increases strength noticeably anyway. It's just a meme to reject cardio purported by fat 'powerlifters' that die of a heart attack at 31. Just run and swim. Swimming is better for increasing lung capacity. Running is better for cardiovascular efficiency and getting more oxygen to your body.

the adaptation produced by endurance training IS directly antagonistic to the adaptation produced by strength training. there's no way around it

but, you can still train aerobic capacity without _endurance_ training with stuff like HIIT. prowlers especially rule and go well hand in hand with lifting

Lots of studios have shown that cardio increases strength, both long and short distance. While long distance doesn't facilitate hypertrophy, that's not the point.

unless you're not natty its a well known fact that cardio is bad for gaining muscle. its good if you want to be in shape and cut, but if you just want go grow and get bigger muscles, don't do (much) cardio. the body naturally burns muscle alongside fat depending on diet and intensity, but theres no way to naturally do cardio and not burn muscle.

Why do you think swimmers are all extremely lean/skinny? swimming is one of the best cardio workouts there is for burning mass and losing weight.

Protein.

bullshit, unless the studies are on untrained or novice lifters in which case they are irrelevant

Protip: even flexibility does.

Flexibility also increases size potential.

I had a noticeable effect when I was drinking a lot of well water with iron in it.
