And the usefulness of strength goes beyond "squat bodyweight on a bar". Yes, the meme of getting pinned under something that weighs exactly 100kg so that you can perfectly bench press it off your chest, or deadlifting up something that's exactly 180kg is bullshit.
But even if you will never have to lift/press/squat "in real life" something as heavy as you might in the gym, it's still useful to be stronger. When you can deadlift 180kg in a gym environment, lifting something that weighs 100kg outside the gym, in less than ideal circumstances (i.e. difficult to hold onto, unbalanced, whatever) is going to be easy.
That's pretty much the point of strength training. You try to lift as much weight as possible in "perfect" conditions with perfect form, so that you can lift a bit less than that in different conditions with non-ideal form.

From a usefulness point of view, training for strength is far better than training for "aesthetics".

Another thing is epigenetics. If you (and your partner) are fit/strong/healthy when you conceive and carry a child, it will have an effect on the childs health as well.

A lot of new lifters are tricked into not doing any arm specific work, under the impression that pull-ups and rows will make their biceps huge, and they'll get huge triceps from bench and OHP. This is clearly retarded. Yeah, you'll get some growth, but if you want impressive arms, just add 4x8 curls and pressdowns super setted twice a week or some shit. There is literally no reason to not train your arms.

I fell for the meme and got to a 115 lb weighted pull-up, 225 5x5 pendlay rows, 270 bench, 170 OHP, 90 lb 5x5 dips. After introducing curl variations and pressdowns, my arms are much better looking and stronger. Go find the cunts with the biggest arms in any gym. Strength training IS hypertrophy.what bodybuilders call 'hypertrophy' is just increasing the size of your muscle cells' sarcomere. Strength training does that anyway (to a lesser extent.)

and unless you've been training for at least a year or two, strength training will cause as much sarcoplasmic hypertrophy as 'hypertrophy' training while also making you a lot stronger and healthier in general.

What I fucking hate about deadlifts is how long it takes just to do them.

I need to search my gym for a billion plates, then I have to progressively load them on a barbell lying on the floor to do warmup and close them with clips, then I have to remove the weight and carry it back to the fucking weight racks which of course you can't do in one go because it's a billion plates.
