Looks an awful lot like dicline bench. Also can't you just keep overhand and just change elbow position to get the same effect?

Looks both needlessly dangerous and like something that could be done safer/more efficiently with a different excercise, incline/decline like everyone else is saying.
The fact that the dude in the picture is doing it in a smith machine speaks for itself.

Good read, read it before. I believe he states he can bench more reverse than he can normally due to increased chest activation. The only issue is safety with this being worse than thumbless grip.

Try it on an incline bench with 1/2 your max, it's pretty good.
